The FDA Sets Standard For Gluten-Free Food Labelling

Today the U.S. Food and Drug Administration published a new regulation defining the term “gluten-free” for voluntary food labeling. This is great news as it will provide a uniform standard definition which will help the many Americans who have celiac disease, an autoimmune digestive condition that can be effectively managed only by eating a gluten free diet. Hopefully it’s only a matter of time before this kind of labeling is adopted in other countries too.
